The premises had been held by John Whitehead, of Hatfield, husbandman, decd., and passed to his two daus., Martha (now decd.) who married William Machin, of Hatfield, labourer, decd., whose son is William Machin above, and Mary who married George Lee, late of Hatfield, labourer, decd.   Chronology: He worked as a Surgeon & Apothecary in Hatfield, Yorkshire. Thomas married Ann Harn, daughter of Francis Harn and Unknown, on 24 May 1779 in Penistone, Yorkshire.1 2 (Ann Harn was christened on 21 Oct 1756 in Denby, Yorkshire, England 5.)
