He worked as a Cordwainer in 1851 and resided at 2 Cross St, Heaton Norris, Stockport. ⁶

He worked as a Shoemaker in 1861 and resided at 31 Hindham St, Bury, Lancashire. ⁷

He worked as a Retired Shoemaker in 1871 and resided at 27 Hindham St, Bury, Lancashire. ⁸ (with widowed daughter Mary and granddaughter)

Richard married Martha. (Martha was born Cal 1797 in Penistone, Yorkshire ⁶ and died Apr to Jun 1854 in Manchester (reg) ⁹.)
