In 1871 he was working as a Letter-Carrier and living at Town St, Sandiacre with wife and two daughters. 9
In 1881 he ws living with his wife and 3 daughters at Church St (formerly Town St?), Sandiacre. 10
James married Mary Hannah before 1828.1 (Mary Hannah was born Cal 1803 in Sandiacre 1 and died on 2 Oct 1886 in Shardlow 11 12.)
